Worth The Fight

WORTH THE FIGHT

To live without fighting for something is boring and plain.

Recently, I've been using some spare time to check out some anime that I have left behind long ago. And what I discovered was that every story, regardless of its originality, every character has got something that they either wanna protect or pursue.

Just like reality, we always have something or someone that we vow to give it our best, to never back down, to keep fighting. Even at times of weakness, instead of feeling discourage and giving up, we hold true to the very reason what we're fighting for and deal with it. I like the example of the anime "Naruto", Naruto is the main character of the anime and is full of determination, one time when he was beaten in a race so badly, what he did next was astonishing, despite people's harsh words he kept on running the same short race route till he finally beat the best time. Through the rain and through the night.

What great joy is it that we can find in fighting for something we consider as worthy. Even in the midst of suffering and hard ache, it does not discourage our spirit but only weary our bodies. We even  freely go beyond our comfort zone without thinking twice, we get dirty and messy into the situation as if it were our own.

HEAT OF THE BATTLE

Another common theme I noticed was, the biggest fights would usually yield the most change. Its always in the heat of the battle that we truly realise how weak, or how incompatible we actually are. As in most anime cases, the idiots (main character) who always rush into battle gets a pretty good beating, but because of their perseverance they normally develop rapidly.

This does not disregard the need to do all the other background work, bare in mind those are also important to help sustain in the battlefield. So life obviously is the battle field for us, waves after waves of challenges may come trying to sweep us away. It may be as simple as educational assignments, or even being patient in lining up for food. The big challenge provides a great platform to truly test what we've been doing in the background, the integrity that we hold, the s**t that we're hiding.
